- Afternoon Affair
An Afternoon Affair was built on intimacy and intention—an edited runway for a room of only ~80. The mood stayed bright and observational; mirrored walls returned each movement from multiple angles so the work could be read in full, without theatrics.
We kept the styling lucid and tactile. Hair emphasized structure and polish; makeup leaned clean and light-catching. Coffee in hand, guests tracked the line as it shifted between precision and ease—raw, honest garments by Chicago designers with cut, handle, and finish front and center.
Color lived close to the body: creams, charcoals, the occasional mineral blue. Textiles were chosen for behavior—how a bonded hem holds a column; how a brushed twill absorbs light; how lamé skims daylight without glare. Hardware appeared as measured punctuation, never noise.
Looking Forward
Afternoon Affair clarified our north star: deliberate scale, daylight honesty, and craft you can feel at arm’s length. It’s a working model for how we’ll keep presenting—thoughtful pacing, rigorous edit, and space that respects both maker and audience.

In the details
Look for the quiet work: a clean facing that turns into a line of light; hand-set hardware spaced like measured beats; a pressed crease that stays true from first pass to final exit. Precision is the luxury.
